Hi Reader,
These days with the world on fire and heartbreak everywhere, it feels stupid to write to you to say “How are you and here’s a tip for working smarter/better/happier, yadda yadda yadda.”
And yet, all I see in my inbox these days are Black Friday - exhortations to make offers and sell my services, and also to buy-buy-buy. This is giving me a lot of stress. I mean, yes - I am a business owner and yes, I am a consumer, but geez-louise - enough is enough!
Holidays are hard, everything’s expensive and the end of the year feels like the wrong time to make big moves. And big career moves are my wheelhouse, after all.
But also? People near and dear to me - and probably to you, too - are suffering greatly at this moment.
So I write to you today to wish you a Happy BELATED Thanksgiving and an easy…

Whew! There really should be a Wheezy Wednesday because everyone’s probably hyperventilating over their bank balances by then! 🤣
But seriously?
Maybe you do, too?
I’m taking time to regroup and think about my vision for the next year. And as I've done in previous years, I'll be inviting you to do the same but in a slightly different way… you might know that I offer free Vision Board workshops every January. But since I’ll be in a reflective mode in the coming weeks, I invite you to join me for a couple of free planning or co-working sessions in December.
The dates are still to be confirmed, but I’m leaning toward these Monday evenings: December 4th and December 18th. If you're interested, stay tuned and check your email for the link to join me on either or both days.
In the meantime I’ll work with my current and onboarding clients and you know where to reach me if you are in need of resume or career coaching services.
And of course, I’m not a fool. It’s holiday time so I’m offering 15% off any service you book with me. And if you’d like to buy a package for a loved one that’s unhappy at work or looking to branch into a creative field like acting or writing from another career, we can do that, too. Just book a no obligation call and we'll figure that out.
There - I did it. I succumbed and offered you a deal. Now I’m going to go rest. Hope you do, too.
Warmest regards and a big hug,
Gladys

I specialize in assisting professionals who are unhappy with their careers. My main goal is to help people achieve the career change they want or assist them in finding more fulfillment in their current jobs. I often work with executives and professionals who want to change jobs, careers and their lives. I also work with many adults returning to or trying their hand for the first time at acting and other creative careers.
Sticking with a draining job in an unappreciative organization due to fear or uncertainty about finding something else means you're not taking advantage of the chance to bring incredible flow and connections into your life. I believe if something about your professional situation just doesn't feel right, it’s worth exploring so you can find answers or seek a better situation. My working methodology incorporates powerful techniques to cultivate clarity and a heightened sense of control and empowerment, enabling you to successfully transition to a new career and lifestyle.
As a career coach and actor, I am passionate about assisting clients in clarifying their goals and pursuing them. Through our collaboration, they leave with a renewed enthusiasm for their careers and jobs, as well as a greater sense of ease in their lives.
I invite you to reach out and book a no obligation call with me to explore options for going from overwhelmed to thriving in your career.

Hello, friends - I know it's been a minute and I'll get back to you on that another time. Right now, I wanted to make you aware of a theatre piece that I am part of in December, with performances set to run from Dec 10th -15th, 2024, right here in New York City. Information about the show is below in case you’d like to come see it. A caveat, though: it’s set in a women’s prison and has adult themes, so we recommend it for ages 16 and up. La Paloma Prisoner by Raquel Almazán is a...
It's a new year, Reader, and I wish you happiness and health for the entire year. But I have to admit that I write this with great sadness because on January 3rd my god-brother (godson to my parents) Jose Juan Colon, someone who was a big brother to me, passed away less than two months after being diagnosed with cancer. In this new year, those of us that love Jose are now left with picking up pieces, including his mother who's lost her only son after losing her husband and best friend (my...
Hi Reader, How's your summer gone thus far? Did it fly by? Mine did and I'm ready for fall now, mainly because I bought some really adorable cool weather shoes. Since we actors and writers are still on strike, I also purchased a good pair of sneakers so I can picket more comfortably, especially in closed-toe shoe weather. August felt like it took forever to end. My friend Amy also said that waiting for school to start seemed never-ending and all she wanted to do was sleep. That tracks. But...
