Hi friend,
If you’ve been here for a while, you know I’ve been writing about career, creativity, and clarity for a bit now - without a name or a clear theme. I was just… sharing what felt true in the moment.
But lately, something clicked. I realized everything I’ve been writing - about transitions, pauses, and new beginnings - belongs together under one idea: In Between Acts.
Welcome to In Between Acts: a space for clarity, creativity, and career in the moments between one scene and the next.
If you’ve known me for a while, you know I’ve worn many hats - coach, resume strategist, community leader, actor, writer. And the more I talk to clients and fellow creatives, the more I see how our lives - and our work - unfold like theatre:
- There are acts that end before we’re ready.
- Scenes that go differently than we planned.
- And those quiet, uncomfortable intermissions - the in-between moments - where the lights are low, the curtain’s closed, and we’re left wondering what comes next.
This newsletter is about those spaces.
The ones where we pause, listen, and begin again.
Every issue will offer a little reflection and a little action - because I've said it before and I'll say it forever: clarity doesn’t come from hustle. It comes from the stillness you allow yourself to be in and feel. That stillness moves you forward. You can expect:
🎭 The Scene: a story or reflection from life, work, or the world.
💡 Cue the Shift: a question, journal prompt, or small practice.
🌱 The Takeaway: a gentle reminder or invitation to carry with you.
And of course, you’ll still find updates on workshops, creative projects, and community co-working - because I believe connection is where real clarity happens.
For now, here’s your first reflection:
When you find yourself in between acts, don’t rush the curtain call. The pause is part of the story.
So, take a breath. You made it here. Thank you for letting me meet you in this quiet space between endings and beginnings.
With warmth and clarity,
Gladys
P.S. Hit reply and tell me what season of life you’re in between right now — I’d love to know. 💛
